Albion Valiant CX39N FVA 854 with Duple A-type 33 seat luxury coach body is powered by an Albion EN243 9.9 litre diesel engine through a four speed constant mesh gearbox and an auxiliary overdrive gearbox allowing cruising at over 50 mph.
Delivered in 1950 to Hutchison of Overtown it operated tours for a couple of years. It passed to Tuer, of Penrith, and then returned to Scotland in 1961 to join the Highland Bus Service (John Carmichael), of Glenboig. It was purchased in 1967 by the Albion Vehicle Preservation Trust and currently wears the livery of Western SMT.
