| Vehicle History & Additional Information |

One of the last Fleetline chassis for Western SMT, HSD 86V was delivered new to Western Scottish in 1980 with low-height Alexander bodywork. It was based in Greenock for three years before being assigned to Johnstone where it remained into the Clydeside era.
In 1985, Western Scottish painted the bus in an experimental livery designed for Clydeside but it was not adopted. The bus became part of the Clydeside Scottish fleet in 1985 and the Clydeside 2000 fleet in 1991 following privatisation of the Scottish Bus Group.
In early 1996, HSD 86V was withdrawn from service with Clydeside, sold to Appleby's and operated in the Hull area before moving to Baldock's of Five Oak Green. Subsequently, it was purchased by Storm Ministries of Worthing and used to transport a choir before being sold to Jim Geary for restoration in February 2004.
Upon return to Glasgow, HSD 86V was restored in the original Western Scottish livery before being acquired by Chris Jones of the GVVT in April 2005.
