Alexander bodied Leyland Leopard TSJ 47S entered service with Western SMT as their L2747 on June 13th 1978 from Paisley Depot. On June 17th 1985, she passed to Clydeside Scottish upon its formation, becoming fleet number 647.
By May 1989, she was back in Western control, being renumbered yet again to L647. Clydeside was once again split from Western in 1991, and TSJ 47S was renumbered back to 647. In September 1992 she moved from her home of fourteen years at Paisley Depot, becoming a Thornliebank bus, where she stayed for less than a year; May 1993 saw her move to Inchinnan Depot, where she was allocated for two years. From 1995 to 1998, she moved between Johnstone and Greenock Depots, before being absorbed into Arriva Group. From April 2000, she worked at Greenock until it's closure in early 2002; she then moved to Arriva subsidiary McGill's, and operated as a school bus until her withdrawal from service in July 2002. In October 2002, following numerous visits and some small rectification work, she was ready for the journey to her new home, at the Glasgow Vintage Vehicle Trust in Bridgeton.
On November 2nd 2002, she took part in her first run in preservation, with several enthusiasts and the proud owner taking her to some of her old haunts, following service 24 from Glasgow to Renfrew, visiting Renfrew Ferry and Inchinnan Depot, before crossing the Erskine bridge to Central SMT territory. After a stop at the former Central SMT Old Kilpatrick depot, the run visited PJ Coaches and finally Weirs Tourlink, before heading home. Some other slight engine rectification work was carried out early future, and it is hoped to have her at this year's Scottish Vintage Bus Museum open weekend, at Lathalmond in Fife.
